My mom went out of her way to accomodate her little vegan. :)
She bought me a hunk of tofurky (which she swears she’ll make taste at least halfway decent), she bought me a mini vegan pumpkin pie, she’s making a separate batch of greens for me with no meat and mashed potatoes with soy milk and soy butter, and she baked me a whole vegan peach pie—just for me. I am so blessed to have a mother like her.

Sorry to be posting so much, but I need to get this out there.

I fucking hated Amelie.

Beautifully-shot film, I will give it that.  But the movie is an “autobiographical” piece on the behalf of the director.  When I found this out, every single bit of the entire movie went from being cute and quirky (which was already mildly annoying anyway) to being angeringly pretentious.  Anyone who needs to make a movie just to say “HEY EVERYONE I SEE EVERYTHING IN TERMS OF FILM AND I AM REEEEALLY QUIRKY!” really has no place in film, no matter how good his (or her) taste in visual aesthetic may be.

Losing followers in 3…2…1…

ha I’ve never known anyone to hate that film before.
